Around

Around is an ongoing collaborative project developed after meeting on the Meander during my circumnavigation of Svalbard, alongside illustrator Marieke ten Berge.

Working across drawing, field observation, and exchange, the project explores shared ways of seeing and responding to Arctic environments. It is rooted in a shared love of the Arctic and a deep connection to the environment. It has grown through a series of connected outcomes, including a collaborative book and related works made through and after the voyage. We have also exhibited together on two occasions, presenting our individual work alongside the shared project context.

The work continues to develop through ongoing reflection on place, movement, and shared making.
